Company Update: On the Move
New investors, new pilots, and new momentum across Latin America

Suyana Wins Startup Avenue Competition at Volcano Summit
Not all of those who wander are lost.
- J. R. R. Tolkien
Every year, 45 million people are forced from their homes—not by war, but by weather. The rains fail. Rivers flood. Crops wither. And insurance, designed for property and addresses, leaves them completely unprotected. As more people adapt through movement, a critical question emerges: Can protection travel with you?
In our latest featured article, Insurance Without an Address, we examine the protection gap facing climate migrants and how parametric insurance can deliver dignity, speed, and fairness to people on the move. From rapid payouts in drought-stricken Malawi to Suyana's mobile-first solutions in Latin America, this piece shows how technology and design can extend resilience beyond borders and paperwork.

New Pilot: Banco DaVivienda (Grupo Bolivar)
Suyana has signed a pilot agreement with Banco DaVivienda, part of Grupo Bolivar—one of Colombia's largest financial institutions. Together, we'll develop a parametric insurance solution for rice farmers in Colombia, leveraging satellite data and machine learning to deliver fast, transparent protection when and where it's needed most.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in our mission to expand climate resilience for agricultural communities across Latin America—and demonstrates how embedded distribution through trusted financial institutions can meet farmers where they already are, making coverage accessible at scale.
Endless Frontier Labs Accelerator Graduation
We're proud to share that Suyana has graduated from the Endless Frontier Labs Accelerator at NYU Stern, where we were selected as one of only 15 companies. The program connected us with New York's investment ecosystem and gave us invaluable opportunities to refine both our technology and business model as we prepare for our next stage of growth.
Special thanks to Jeff Kaminsky, our mentors Robert Padulo, Claire Wadlington, Nikhil Choudhary, Mark Flynn, and the entire EFL community for their support, feedback, and guidance along the way.

What's Next
October brought major milestones: a lead investor, new partnerships, and new ground across Latin America. In Colombia, we're launching a pilot with rice farmers. In Bolivia, our Early Warning System is preparing for deployment. And in our latest article, we're asking the harder questions about who gets left out of traditional insurance, and how we can change that.
The numbers tell part of the story: 45 million people displaced by weather in 2024, millions of smallholder farmers facing growing climate uncertainty, and a $300 billion protection gap that leaves the most vulnerable without safety nets. But the real story is simpler—protection shouldn't require a title deed, a fixed address, or paperwork that people don't have.
We're scaling fast across the region, and we're not slowing down. If you're working on climate adaptation, digital distribution, or agricultural finance in Latin America, join us. Reach out at info@suyana.io.
